Designed for heavy rock and metal players, the black PATB-2B Distortion Parallel Axis Trembucker from Seymour Duncan is a humbucking bridge pickup with a wide pole piece spacing for symmetrical positioning under the stings of guitars with a tremolo or wide-spaced hardtail bridge (2" or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup).
The Distortion Parallel Axis offers a searing, saturated bridge tone that works well for all styles of heavy rock and metal. The pickup combines a dual-pole design with a large ceramic bar magnet and overwound coils to deliver a huge, screaming tone with clear, articulate high end, and plenty of grind on the bottom. Chords will have a thick, saturated edginess, while leads will have an abundance of midrange harmonics. The PATB-2B also features a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. Like all Seymour Duncan pickups, the Distortion Parallel Axis is carefully hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA. |
