Phat Cat Neck - Humbucker-Sized P-90 (Nickel Cover)

The nickel-covered SPH90-1N Phat Cat from Seymour Duncan is a P-90 style neck pickup designed as a drop-in replacement for any standard sized humbucker slot. The pickup was originally developed for Hamer Guitars as a true single-coil P-90 soapbar that fits under a humbucker cover. The Phat Cat offers authentic neck position bounce and sparkle with single-coil springiness for solos, and chords that are rich in harmonics. The pickup is reverse wound with reverse polarity (RWRP) for noise-free operation when used together with the Phat Cat bridge pickup (available separately). The SPH90-1N utilizes two alnico 2 bar magnets for more sustain and a softer attack than a traditional single coil. The pickup also features a nickel-silver bottom plate, a single-conductor braided hookup wire, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free operation.
