The importance of body shape
The Venus has become a guitar industry reference point around the world as a guitar that strikes the ideal balance of size and sound. Thanks to its 15" lower bout and shallower body, the Venus is comfortable to play for long periods yet doesn’t sacrifice tone or acoustic power.
Which tonewoods are used and why?
The top, back and sides of the Nexus Neptune Cognac are solid Indonesian Mahogany, stained with a deep brown colour treatment. This colouration serves to deepen the inherent visual character of Mahogany allowing nature’s work to be fully appreciated.
Each Nexus model is then coated with gloss lacquer and polished to a high shine. This lacquer helps protect the guitar no matter what you encounter in your musical journey.
How does it all come together?
All-Mahogany guitars have been an essential part of a guitarists tonal palette for a long time now. By using the same tonewood for the whole body, the instrument delivers a reliably linear tone and overall an instrument that loves to be played and strummed hard.
The Electronics:
This Nexus Venus is equipped with a Fishman Presys 2 preamp system and an undersaddle piezo pickup strip. This elegant solution is super easy to use, with an easy to read built-in tuner, 2 Band EQ contour control, phase switch (to control any feedback on stage), and a volume knob. The output jack is part of the battery box panel at the base of the guitar.
The Case:
Your new Faith Nexus will be supplied complete with a padded gigbag with handles, backstraps and an accessory pocket. And, when the gig bookings start to stack up, you can upgrade to a hardcase for even better on-the-road protection.
