Likewise, Markbass is one of the most well-known bass amp manufacturers on the planet. In just a few short years we have joined the ranks of instrument manufacturers, enjoying worldwide success of our basses, including the highly appreciated Gloxy series – which uses our Glocalization philosophy to offer unique instruments with unbeatable value for money. And therefore of course it was inevitable that we would collaborate with Alain in the design of this fantastic bass, the MB Gloxy Black Panther 5 - a truly fascinating instrument, with great sound, balance, exceptional playability, and all carefully developed to meet Alain's high standards and secure his stamp of approval.
BALANCED DESIGN / EXCEPTIONAL PLAYABILITY.
The MB Gloxy Black Panther is a very lightweight bass. It's elongated top horn, and the position of the strap-end make the bass exceptionally balanced, either playing seated or standing up. The neck is sculpted for comfort, with ultra low action, and a lower body cutaway designed to offer maximum access up to the 24th fret.
MB INSTRUMENT PRE INSIDE.
The MB Gloxy Black Panther 5 features two Markbass soapbar pickups, and is equipped with the same MB Instrument Pre featured on our premium range of instruments. This onboard preamp is designed from the ground up by Markbass to faithfully reproduce the sound of your instrument. Changes in the volume level when switching from Active to Passive and back again are almost imperceptible - a unique feature of the exceptional circuitry inside. Simple & ergonomic controls allow you to richly boost or cut your EQ without clipping or distorting the signal
