Antiquity 2 Surfer Strat Single-Coil Set for Neck, Middle & Bridge

The Antiquity II Surfer Strat Set from Seymour Duncan are calibrated neck, middle, and bridge pickups custom aged both cosmetically and magnetically to simulate the wear and tear of decades of playing. The pickups provide that smooth and chimey bounciness often associated with classic Stratocasters from the '60s. The neck pickup features specially calibrated alnico 5 rod magnets and custom scatter-wound coil to give the treble attack a subtle sweetness without losing any of the harmonic sparkle. The middle pickup is reverse wound, reverse polarity (RW/RP) for hum-free cluck in the 2 and 4 positions, and offers the same glassy tone of the standard-wound Surf pickup when used on its own, but when put in combination with either the bridge or neck pickups, it will deliver that beautiful, bright in between sound. The bridge pickup is wound to be 50% hotter for more mids and the treble attack is slightly softened by degaussing the alnico 5 rod magnets. It cuts through the mix much more easily than a traditional Strat bridge pickup, while still retaining that classic Stratocaster tonal character. Each pickup features vintage correct blue/yellow cloth pushback lead wire, light gray bottom flatwork, and custom aged covers for an authentic vintage look. Each pickup is carefully hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA.
