The Seymour Duncan SJM-1b is a vintage correct single-coil Jazzmaster® pickup. Recommended for country, pop, surf, blues, jazz and classic rock.
Introduced in 1957 to provide a mellow sound for jazz players, surf guitarists were soon using this cool guitar and pickup combination. Every detail in sound, construction and appearance is faithfully duplicated in this vintage pickup. Output is moderate; and mids and highs are boosted.
Commonly used with the SJM-1n neck pickup, which is reverse wound to provide a humbucking effect when used with the bridge model. For warmer toned ash, alder or basswood body instruments. Works especially well with rosewood fingerboards. Comes with waxed cloth hookup cable. Does not include a cover, "claw" not included.
Players include Jeff Tamelier / Tower of Power, Al Schnier / moe., Michael Ciravolo / Human Drama. |
