The Pearl 14" x 6.5" Task-Specific Free Floating Maple/African Mahogany Snare Drum features a 6-ply Maple shell, complemented with two inner bass-boosting plies of African Mahogany (7.5mm total). Warm and deep, this drum has enough oomph to give you some gut punching snare when you want it.
Free Floating lugs do not touch the shell at all, letting it ring as much as it possibly can. Wooden shells can get choked off with too much equipment, but that's not the case here. Die-cast hoops keep your tuning true even after thousands of rimshots, and you can crank the drum sky high.
Pearl has included the SR-160F Click-Lock Snare Strainer, which locks the lever and tension adjuster wherever you want it. The drum also comes fitted with a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head. |
