We designed our ASB pickups to be the perfect blend of a traditional active pickups punch and snap and a vintage passive pickups warmth and tone. The dynamics and response are true, with just a hint of tonal coloring, but not extreme one way or another, and with the 6-string version can handle the full range you need. The sound of the ASB is natural with and even bass, mid, and treble response thats perfect for finger style or slap. The internal active preamp gives you more overall volume and presence than you can typically find from with a passive pickup. Our internal split-blade design allows for the best string-to-string balance of any soapbar pickup.This pickup is a direct replacement for a Bartolini P2. Many players combine the ASB pickups with our 2 or 3 EQ band Tone Circuit preamps to add precision EQ sculpting. Battery life is approximately 1,000 continuous hours per set and we include all necessary mounting and wiring hardware. |
